An amazing experience

We thought you might appreciate a selection of photographs that show some of the beautiful sights we have seen. Some photos may not be so beautiful - but they capture our journey well. So ... some highlights.
Innovative work at Thandigudi includes the water harvesting system. The pathways are also methods of collecting water.
The grounds at the Thandigudi home are truly beautiful. We saw beautiful plants and amazing wildlife.

Some more spectacular dancing.

Happy girls at school!

At the training centre the boys learned mechanics,

and the girls design and sewing. They both learn computer studies.

One of the comittee members is aiming to include two girls on the mechanic course next year.

Thandigudi

We have been treated like royalty by everyone.

The teachers and children welcomed us into their classrooms ...
so we sang to them!

In the evening we visited their houses and looked at their work. The rooms where they spend their leisure time are also the places where they do their homework and sleep. There are no beds in most houses, the children sleep on mats on the floor.

More singing, from children and adults!

The children's stitch work was amazing.

Chrissy needed a little night-time protection!
